LIC WhatsApp service launched: Get Updates On Policy Status, Premium Due Details - Kehyo!

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched a new WhatsApp service for its policyholders. Registered users can avail of services including – premium due information, policy status, and more details through WhatsApp.

Chairperson, LIC of India M.R. Kumar launched LIC’s select interactive services with its Policyholders on WhatsApp.

According to LIC’s official statement, policyholders who have not registered their policies online are asked to register first to avail of the services on the instant messaging app. Customers can register their policy by visiting the LIC’s customer portal on www.licindia.in.

Once the policy is registered on the online portal, follow this step-by-step guide to use LIC WhatsApp services.

How to use LIC WhatsApp service

  • Save LIC’s official WhatsApp number 8976862090 in your phone’s contact.
  • Send “Hi” to the above whatsapp number.
  • LIC will reply you with 11 options to choose from.
  • You can reply by selecting the option which you are looking for.
  • LIC will share the required details.

How to register policy on LIC online portal?

  • Visit www.licindia.in and head to the “Customer Portal” option.
  • Click on “New user” if you have not registered earlier for customer portal.
  • Now select your user ID and password and then submit on the next screen.
  • Log in using this newly generated user ID, then select “Add Policy” under “Basic Services”.
  • Now enrol all of your remaining policies, at which point your registered policies will all be able to access the Basic Services.
  • Basic information like your date of birth, phone number, and email address will be automatically incorporated into the registration form when you register as a LIC Portal user.
